Woodlands Close, Bromley
This house had stood empty for several years before my client purchased it. My client had found his family’s new house but he made it clear that he was keen to create a new home for himself and his children so my brief was finely tuned from the beginning.
Without a doubt, the house was a blank canvas and was crying out for care and attention – lacking storage, needing new flooring throughout, full decoration in all rooms, full furnishing, window dressing, joinery, plumbing and electrical work.
My client’s teenage children were a primary focus and it was clear that he wanted to create rooms for them that they’d enjoy not only for themselves but also when entertaining friends and a home that they could all enjoy together.
As work progressed on the inside of the house our focus and attention became further drawn to the outside of the house and that it too needed attention and a complete overhaul and so became the second phase of the project – new resin driveway, new carport, fencing, drainage work, new rendering and painting of external raised beds and walls to front and rear, reconfiguration of the front/back garden – shaped artificial grass/sleeper areas, replanting at the front and rear of the property, removal of all decking at the rear of the property replaced throughout with patio tiles, supply and install a hot tub and remote pergola and full decoration to the outside of the house.
There is also a half-size basketball court that we supplied which is fitted to the front of the property as space on the driveway allowed for it. It hasn’t been photographed as was installed at the very end of the project but again the job is about meeting my client’s requirements and exceeding expectations.
I was and am extremely grateful for the enthusiasm and commitment my client has shown for his project and I know we have left him with a home to be proud of and to enjoy for many years to come.
